Spokane becomes a beautiful winter town with busy streets and hidden gems to explore. Whether you’re searching for treasures, getaways, or seasonal activities, this city has something for everyone. Here’s your guide to the best places to shop, stay, and play this winter.

Shop

Discover the shops and vintage stores that capture Spokane’s creative vibe. Start with Vintage Habits (1926 E. Sprague Ave., Suite A), a stylish boutique filled with vintage clothing, accessories, and rare finds for anyone who loves retro flair.

You can then explore From Here (808 W. Main Ave.), a collective featuring jewelry, candles, and Spokane-related products created by local artisans.

Need a break? Check out Atticus Coffee & Gifts (222 N. Howard St.) for a great cup of coffee while casually browsing books and unusual gifts.

Stay

Stay modern and stylish at The Davenport Grand Hotel (333 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.). The rooms are spacious, the amenities are thoughtful, and the Spokane River provides an ideal destination for rest and adventure.

If you want something smaller and more laid-back, try the Ruby River Hotel (700 N. Division St.). It overlooks the Spokane River and offers stunning views, convenient access to Riverfront Park, and all the amenities you could need after a full day of exploring.

To satisfy your appetite, visit Vieux Carre NOLA Kitchen (1403 W. Broadway Ave.) for rich, authentic Creole dishes. The atmosphere and real food make it an ideal spot to wind down and have a delicious bite.

Play

For outdoor fun, visit Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park (29500 N. Mt. Spokane Park Dr.), which features ski hills, snowshoe trails, and amazing views of snowy landscapes.

Prefer to stay in town? Grab your skates and skate the Numerica Skate Ribbon at Riverfront (720 W. Spokane Falls Blvd). It’s a fun ice-skating trail that runs through the park and is scenic and relaxing amid the city skyline.

Visit the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC) (2316 W. 1st Ave.) for a cultural experience. Immerse yourself in local history and contemplative displays within a beautiful historic environment.

Spokane’s winter is about discovery and relationships, finding one-of-a-kind gifts, unwinding in warm spaces, and enjoying nature. From exploring new spots to returning to old favorites, Spokane brings something new to every winter day.
