Jaime Crocker has called the Inland Northwest home her entire life. Born and raised outside of Spokane in Liberty Lake, Washington, she graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory School and attended the University of Washington, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in human biology. She then returned to school to obtain her second degree in nursing; and from there would go on to attend Gonzaga University, graduating with a Master of Science degree in nursing. It was there that she would be introduced to her husband Roy, also a Spokane native.
It was five years ago that Jaime, the mother of two (Jackson and Ella), was inspired to pursue a new career path in hopes of a better work-life balance. Spending 18 years of her career as a nurse practitioner in the emergency department, she was eager for a change from the chaos of emergency room medicine. Though she was not very familiar with aesthetics at the time (“They don’t teach much in the way of aesthetics in acute care studies,” she laughs), Jaime was ready to learn.
“It took a lot of courage and drive to start over in a field I knew very little about,” she recalls. “I love to learn, so this was a great new challenge. I quickly fell in love with the path I was pursuing and enjoy what I do each and every day. It’s been so rewarding. I get to help people build self-confidence, to invest in themselves building self-love.”
In 2018, Jaime opened the doors to Odara Medical Spa part time to assist clients in achieving their aesthetic goals. The space, located in Spokane, started operating full time in 2020 to better serve the community—and then the pandemic hit. As businesses were forced to shut their doors, including Odara, Jaime reflects on this time as being a blessing for both her and her business. “We were able to remodel our space during this time; the silver lining during a difficult and unknown time.” They now offer four treatment rooms to better serve their patients.
The Odara team is comprised of four amazing and talented women: Jaime Crocker, ARNP, MSN-FNP, aesthetic injector; Shayne Stelzer, master esthetician; Irina Kharchenko, front-end spa manager; and Shelby Bailess, patient care assistant. Though small in numbers, this allows the team to provide their clients personalized service and attention, making for a wonderful experience for both the provider and the patient. “We are a small, personalized medical spa,” shares Jaime. “We strive to remain relatable. I want every patient who walks through our doors to feel comfortable, confident and educated in the service and treatment plan that we develop as a team.”
Odara Medical Spa offers a full range of skin and beauty services, from medical-grade skin care, customized to the individual, to luxurious facials, chemical peels, dermal filler, platelet-rich plasma/platelet-rich fibrin, intense pulsed light therapy, RF microneedling, waxing and more! They aim to provide non-surgical aesthetic and facial rejuvenation treatments—with an exceptional level of care—to their clients, which allows for a more natural, youthful look.
“I love making people feel genuinely good about themselves,” smiles Jaime. When it comes to the most popular services her clients seek, Jaime finds many clients looking for treatments to aid in the anti-aging process. “I believe people are becoming more educated and more conscientious about preventative care—SPF, antioxidants, Botox, vitamins, exercise). They are being more proactive in slowing down the aging process. And that’s where we come in.”
Jaime and the rest of the Odara Medical Spa team are ready to assist you in restoring your youthful appearance. What are you waiting for?
