“We take delight in assisting our customers find the perfect gift for someone or for themselves, that unique culinary item, delectable food for entertaining or to enjoy at the store, or those just wanting to browse the store,” smiles General Manager TJ Tombari.

Guided by the inspiration of owner Sandy Volkar, TJ has used her passion and experience to bring the business, located in the heart of Coeur d’Alene’s Riverstone Neighborhood, to new heights—with new kitchen appliances, upscale cookware, and a bigger and greater variety of gifts and specialty food items.

"We are so enjoying working with TJ. We love her vision, her enthusiasm and her collaborative spirit in working with our wonderful management team and staff to bring in different products and create new events and offerings for our customers,” shares Sandy.

They recently introduced new lines in the store such as Staub, Deyemere, MoccaMaster and Finex cast iron, along with several new kitchen gadgets and gift lines. “We are also focusing on bringing in different specialty food items,” affirms TJ. “Be sure to stop in to explore all we have to offer!”

If you find yourself hosting, or attending, a party, let The Culinary Stone help! Whether for two or 200, they have a charcuterie offering for any occasion! And during the coming months, they will be bringing in a variety of specialty cheeses and meats to add to their traditional charcuterie offerings.

Cooking classes, which are held several times a week onsite, continue to be a popular offering among guests. For a preview of upcoming cooking classes, you can find them online at

There are exciting things happening at The Culinary Stone in 2022, as TJ is working to develop new culinary and wine events. "We are having fun experimenting with wine, champagne and beer Pop-Up Bars that take place after hours in the Café," smiles TJ, who is also in the process of creating specialty wine pairing dinners featuring hand-selected wines to pair perfectly with a specially prepared menu by one of their talented chefs.

Don’t wait to discover all the delightful offerings, which can only be found at The Culinary Stone.
